Abstract/Summary:
Electric machines started being used in industry at the beginning of the century. Powerful, nonpolluting and reliable, they quickly downgraded the steam machines. Since their arrival, methods developed with an aim of controlling these machines did not cease increasing. The purpose of current research is to improve these control methods.; However, in spite of the ingeniousness of the researchers and the power of mathematics surrounding the modern control theories, only few of these are applied in industry. The reason of this is simple. A lot of research is carried out in universities and, most of the time, it is very difficult in practice to test the control methods effectively. In fact, the required equipment is very expensive and laboratory costs are exorbitant.; Differed time simulation of electric drives presents an alternative to this. Indeed, it is possible in simulation to test with an average effectiveness, the level of performance of an electric drive prototype. However, this type of simulation presents two major disadvantages. Firstly, each simulation requires a significant amount of time. It thus becomes very difficult to process many tests to improve the prototype. Secondly, this simulation type uses the modeling of the controller. Currently, one cannot prove that these simulation results will be identical to real life hardware results.; To fill these lacks, real time simulation has been developed. With this type of simulation, it is possible to connect a hardware controller to a simulator and this is the step we will cross in this master's thesis. The machine and the bridge being modelled inside the simulator, we will connect a real external asynchronous machine controller at the outside.; Good open and closed loop simulation results are presented in this work. This confirms the validity of the approach.
