Abstract/Summary: | |
This study traces the origins and historical development of the right to self-defense and the derivative right to keep and bear arms. Arguments are presented for the duties and responsibilities of man and the states.;The Holy Bible's revealed law and God's natural law endow man with the right to self-defense. Historical documents of ancient civilizations, the Middle Ages, sixteenth and seventeenth century England, and early America demonstrate that the right to self-defense has existed throughout history.;Concealed weapon laws are the most effective modern-day means for the states to protect the citizen's right to self defense and man to exercise his right. |
