Ruthenium complexes of quinone-related ligands: A study of the redox states of ruthenium(II)bis(2,2' bipyridine)-2-aminothiophenol

The redox series of Ru(II)(bpy);The redox series of Ru(II)(bpy);Electrochemical properties of the ruthenium(II)bis(bipyridine)-2 aminothiophenol are reported using microelectrode, disc electrode, rotating disc electrode cyclic voltammetry (CV), spectro-electrochemistry, and differential pulse voltammetry. An ECE mechanism is proposed to interpret and simulate the CVs of Ru(bpy);Semi-empirical ZINDO/S calculations were performed on these complexes using ZINDO/1 optimized structures, for spectroscopic comparison.
