Abstract/Summary:
A study was conducted to evaluate the matrix effects on the analysis and fate of diazinon in Denton municipal effluent. Capillary GC with dual NPD and FPD were used for diazinon analysis at detection limit of 0.01 ng. Liquid-liquid or C-18 solid phase extraction methods were optimized. Diazinon stability and method reproducibilities yielded a coefficient of variance of 3.2% at mean effluent concentration of 539.3 ng/l.
