| In this thesis we study the C*-algebra of Lie semidirect products of the form Rn ×α R, for an arbitrary action α of R on Rn. In our main result, theorem [2.15], we explicitly construct a composition series for C* (Rn ×α R) and then estimate the stable rank and connected stable rank of C* (Rn ×α R) as a corollary to our main theorem. |
