The reading in the university students: Psychological and social variables in the formation of the habits reader

The objective of the thesis is to analyze the process of education of the habits readers in its social dimension. We also study the social representation of the reading. We have used as population of study university fellows.;The carried out analyses allow to be defined the pattern of behavior of the fellow reader and the motivation that it takes to the reading. A group appears of 'false readers' with a behavior of low reading but with subject reader's personal image.;The results confirm the importance of the process of infantile socialization in the construction of the habit reader.;We propose an index reader starting from the different analysis measures that have reached statistical significance. It is elaborated by direct sources, indirect sources, social sources and perceptive sources.;The influence of the university context takes place in the motivation component, what takes to an increase of the reader behavior.
