With the availability of sophisticated surveillance technology, concerns regarding invasion of privacy are increasingly being heard in many nations. Most everyone likes to keep their private lives'...private. Citizens expect their lives to be kept private. Cyber terrorists want their lives to be private. Inquiring minds want to know; and so does the Government. Not too many years ago the citizens of the United States felt secure in their everyday tasks. People were confident; they were protected by the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. The people believed that the information they discussed with other people was theirs, and the government had no reason to know. Today, so many people throughout the world rely heavily on social media to communicate with each other, wherever they may live. Most people do not fully understand how much information they are communicating to each other, or that the information shared on social media sites can be monitored at any given time, by anyone, including the United States Government. Now, so many people are frightened. Keywords: Intelligence, Surveillance, Technology, Government, England, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Tactics, Fourth Amendment, Professor Riddell.
