Abstract/Summary:
Multiplication is central to God's character. It is evident in his creation. It is an indication of his blessing. Church planting is an expression of multiplication. Theologically church planting is a tangible representation of the incarnational presence of Christ. Churches that plant churches live out the multiplication and incarnational heart of God.;The effectiveness of a church multiplication movement is squarely on the shoulders of the established church. A primary reason provided by pastors for not planting churches is lack of knowledge. Training designed to equip pastors in the development of a Parent Church Action Plan would address this concern.;This thesis explores the biblical and theological foundations for church planting, as well as the impact of a one-day training event on increasing the readiness factor for local church leaders to daughter a new church.
