Pictures on Microblogs: Twitter vs. Weib

Microblog has become one of the most useful social media platforms for public relations practitioners. This paper focuses on the study of the most shared pictures on the two microblog platforms, Twitter and Weibo. It explores how those pictures function on social media platforms that are fundamentally text-based. It also seeks to identify the differences in visual communication between Twitter and Weibo.
