| I chose Central New York Resource Conservation and Development Project, Inc. (CNY RC&D) as my practicum experience for my Empire State College Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) final project. I have been employed at CNY RC&D as the Biomass Field Representative on the Willow Biomass Project since November 1996. I enrolled in the Empire State College MALS program in the spring semester of 1999. My work experience and academic activities have complemented each other throughout my MALS program. Evaluating and reflecting on the knowledge and understanding developed through both of these experiences together will bring greater depth and value to each of them. This paper will reflect upon my experiences during my Practicum. I will pay particular attention to the Conservation Reserve Program Biomass Pilot Project; Green-e certification for marketing electricity and the process of Green-e certification; the Agricultural Leadership Enhancement Program; and cooperative formation for Willow Bioenergy Producers. |
