Abstract/Summary:
Today the theme park industry is extremely competitive, and the fascination of an attraction fades faster than ever before. The retardation of the theme park industry was principally caused by conservative designs that implemented a grid logic by means of dividing space and time rationally.; The rapid and excessive changes of increasingly sophisticated themed circumstances and the higher level of visitor's expectation are demanding for alternative theme attraction designs. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to propose a new vision for theme attractions.; The design concept of "integration" responds to three fundamental issues: tedious queues, exhausted ambiance, and losing fascination of theme attractions. For the applications of the innovative tools, there are no clear divisions between queuing area, ride zone, and dining region. The outcome of this project presents a great potential for the theme attraction that hopefully crosses over design boundaries.
