Abstract/Summary:
The quality of pressure vessels is governed by diverse factors such as the mechanical behavior of the vessel materials. This study focused on the factors that need to be considered in creating high-quality pressure vessels which are used or subjected to extreme conditions such as high temperatures and pressures. The factors that need to be considered in the design or planning stage of the vessel, the welding together of the pressure vessel parts, and the necessary tests that should be performed in each steps in the fabrication process were also investigated. Secondary data were researched from online and printed journals to gather and analyze the necessary information needed. This study shows how careful the selection and assessment of the pressure vessel design, proper selection of the vessel materials, welding materials, and other accessories such as adhesives and paints, and meticulous performance of tests throughout the span of the fabrication process, can help guarantee the quality of the vessel.
