Abstract/Summary:
The subject of this thesis shows the research in the multidisciplinary domain of aeroservoelastic interactions which concern the interactions between the aerodynamic forces, structural forces and control systems.; The aeroservoelasticity studies two different aspects of the aircraft dynamics: aeroelasticity and flight dynamics. The aeroelasticity studies the flexible structure of the aircraft and the coupling phenomenon between the structural and aerodynamic forces while the flight dynamics considers the aircraft as a rigid in a feedback configuration and studies the influence of controls on the aircraft dynamics.; One of aeroservoelasticity applications is the active flutter suppression, which are unstable vibrations issued from structural and aerodynamic forces coupling. These types of instabilities may provoke the lost of aircraft control, weakness of the structure and the destruction of one part or the whole aircraft.; In this thesis, we need to establish the theory of fusion of aerodynamic models issued from the aeroelasticity and flight dynamics theories in the aim to study the aeroservoelastic interactions by calculating the flutter speeds.; We present here the common formulation of aerodynamic forces acting on a rigid aircraft (six degrees of freedom) where the aerodynamic forces are calculated by Newton's laws, and on a flexible aircraft (modelled by finite element methods) where the aerodynamic forces are calculated by the Doublet Lattice Methods.; One comparison between the stability derivatives calculations in the literature and our own calculations of these stability derivatives is presented here in detail on the F-18 aircraft.
