Abstract/Summary:
After the project SKALPEL-ICT had been accomplished by Jean-Marc Schwartz (JMS), we studied in great detail the real time of the simulation of the voluminous meshing. Our principal objective was to obtain a performance proportional to the number of processors in use (speed-up). To this end, the calculations were distributed on a cluster.; We designed an object-oriented architecture based on the client-server type. This architecture consists of a module display, a probe, and a parallel simulator. The parallel simulator is composed of a server and several clients acting respectively as master and slaves. The simultaneous execution of the calculations has been possible due to various mechanisms of parallelism, such as synchronisation, organization, collaboration, and inter-processor communication through the transfer of messages.; The results obtained at the conclusion of the research proved that the sequential model developed by JMS can be made to be parallel, showed that it can be standardized, and confirmed the necessity to carry out a balance of dynamic charge on the calculation nodes.
