Abstract/Summary:
Transmission of digital image data in high amplitude noise is a significant problem in jamming environments encountered in many situations including military on-site reconnaissance. We present a solution by mapping an input image using the two-dimensional chaotic Henon map. By taking the Fourier transform of the scrambled image, and transmitting only the phase information we are able to receive significant data despite high amplitude noise. We also demonstrate that significant data is retrievable in very high rates of data drop out.
