Abstract/Summary:
This study was conducted to examine immigrant Latino parents' level of knowledge of compulsory education laws and their values on education. The participants were selected from an elementary school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Most of the participants were female from either Mexico or a Central American country. A total of 25 participants (23 females and 2 males) completed the questionnaire. Results showed their level of knowledge of compulsory education laws and their personal values on education. Research limitations are identified and recommendations are made to improve future studies.
