Abstract/Summary:
My work deals with the intersections between things: personal/private, art/life, etc. In this work, I use mapping and indexing to recreate/reconstruct the space-time surrounding my life. Many images are placed chronologically or spatially to create the overall image. Patterns and design elements emerge from the processes used to place the small photographs. Every image from my personal collection, all the images from my internet surfing, and a photographic map of the yard where I grew up are the subjects of my examination. The interaction of the viewer with these indices of my life is a voyeuristic/exhibitionistic one, but in making the imagery so small I force the view to interact on a more personal scale.
