A report based on a practicum at a not for profit organization to better understand the reintegration issues for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom combat veterans. In addition to reviewing employment statistics, resource and benefits access is researched and analyzed to identify possible holes in the service member to veteran transition post combat. The report concludes with recommendations for a better military transition program to eliminate barriers for veterans who have earned and deserve a smooth transition back to their civilian lives regardless of any temporary or long term limitations acquired during combat. |
