The context is a church in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The focus of the ministry model was designed to equip Christian women that are victims of domestic violence with an alternative spiritual model in meeting as a small group for eight-weeks of devotions and testimonies to assist in their healing process. Evaluation of the ministry model is qualitative aided by self-designed pre-test and post-test questionnaires, testimonies and homework journals. The results of the model confirmed the hypothesis and the model was a success. The women found their voice.
