Abstract/Summary:
Through the art making process and utilizing voice dialoging technique, the researcher explores and documents her own personal inner archetypal landscape to provide a successful foundation for moving towards wholeness. The visual creations represented through art of the inner selves assisted in the comprehension of their light and dark attributes. This interactive, creative process with the inner selves supports communication, enhances their productivity and integrates their strengths within the psyche to further enhance personal transformation. The researcher's personal research reflects transformation and transcendence by acknowledging and integrating disowned aspects of self and allowing for all of the discovered and rediscovered parts to begin working together as an integrated unit. Communication with the inner archetypal selves reveals significant information. The interaction between the selves and how they coexist and learn to work together utilizing voice dialoging is where growth and transcendence takes place. This interaction helped move the researcher towards a unified self. This merging and awareness of archetypal selves is documented for each artistic image created during the heuristic research process.
