Abstract/Summary:
In pool boiling heat transfer the important parameter that should be considered is the maximum amount of heat flux obtained without physically damaging the surface through which heat transfer takes place. Heat transfer with phase change is an important application in power generation, space industry and now in computer industry.; There are many theories on the critical heat flux because of its important but all of them have one basic assumption that heat transfer surface is surrounded by infinite liquid. This assumption is absurd in most of the practical cases.; A theoretical model will be developed for the critical heat flux in saturated liquid in the presence of some constraints. This model will be tested with the experimental data of Elkassabgi and Lienhard.
