Abstract/Summary:
Quartz crystal microbalance is the reliable and simple technology which is widely used in both research and industry. Advantages include low equipment cost, ultra high sensitivity, and wide pressure range.;Quartz crystal microbalance can be used for study of hydrogen storage materials. In order to compensate external factors, which affects the measurement, control experiment in He is used. That allows us to cancel the effects on quartz crystal frequency caused by the gas pressure, density and viscosity, and also to compensate the frequency shift caused by surface roughness of the crystal. Therefore the data received is related only to absorbed mass of hydrogen, and not to other factors.
