Abstract/Summary:
We discuss the topic of three-dimensional explosion diagrams and how systems can dynamically construct them when given a 3D input model. Unlike previous work on the subject, our approach utilizes collision detection software to analyze the structure of the objects and calculate correct escape translational movements. Our algorithms also find explosion vectors that do not lie parallel to the coordinate frame axes, unlike the old systems which dealt with uni-axial methods or stuck to testing the six principal direction vectors.
