Abstract/Summary:
Applying seven simple and basic Statistical Processing Control (SPC) tools (cause-and-effect diagram, check sheet, control chart, flowchart, histogram, Pareto chart, and scatter diagram) to monitor and analyze Quality Assurance (QA) discrepancies can address deficiencies in service performances. Being able to monitor the quality of services provided by the organization can detect factors and trends that affect the accuracy of the services provided. Continuous performance measurement and monitoring supports quality improvement initiatives within an organization, as well as promotes quality of care initiative outcomes.;This project integrates SPC tools using Microsoft ExcelRTM into the current performance improvement processes of the Quality Assurance Department at Futuristic Radiology Medical Group. Incorporating SPC tools to monitor QA discrepancies can improve interpretation of data analysis and address factors that contribute to quality of care.
