The research included in this thesis focuses on the development of new micro/nano-motors, the indeterministic directing method, and photo-induced microfluidic phenomena, as described in Chapters 1 through 4. Chapter 5 presents a palladium-loaded hydrogel two-phase catalytic system for selective hydrogenation towards more polar organic compounds.
