| At the SFA Observatory we took images of the asteroid 349 Dembowska for two nights, September 16, 2006, and September 29, 2006. The telescope used was the 18-inch Ritchey-Chretien telescope with the Santa Barbara instrument Group STL-12301E with the remote TC237 CCD camera. All images were taken using three filters (red, green, blue). Images were analyzed by MAXIMDL to obtain rotational light curves of 349 Dembowska. Moreover, we constructed the 3D images of 349 Dembowska using the program called POV-RAY animation. With the 3D images we can obtain the simulated light curves for the asteroid rotation at various observation geometries. Both observation light curves and simulated light curves were compared to find the best match which can explain the right observational geometries of 349 Dembowska. |
