Abstract/Summary:
In this research, a new equation of state for highly super-critical region was proposed. A new temperature dependent equation was found for the attraction term, a(T), in the generic equation of state shown as follows: P=RTV-b-a TV+sb V+3b; To find the correlation among components, twelve non-polar components were analyzed and a generalized equation was proposed.; Also, vapor pressure predictions for pure substances and Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium (VLE) calculations for mixed fluids were performed and compared with the results of calculations by the Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK) and Peng-Robinson (PR) equations. The average errors of vapor pressures for the substances studied were 4.10% for the proposed equation, 1.48% for the SRK equation, and 0.83% for the PR equation, respectively. The average errors for VLE for the binary systems studied were 12.08% for the proposed equation, 17.16% for the SRK equation, and 24.29% for the PR equation, respectively.
