After joining the World Trade Organization,China ' s export value added has grown rapidly, but the number of state-owned enterprises has fallen sharply. In the context of the coexistence of the two major economic phenomena, whether the reform of state-owned enterprises directly promotes the added value of enterprises' exports is worth exploring. On the one hand,China is in an important period when the industry enters the high-end of the global value chain, and increasing the added value of exports is the key path for China's industry to enter the high-end of the global value chain. On the other hand,China is now further deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises, improving and perfecting the modern enterprise system, and urging it to have a place in the ever-changing global competitive market. Therefore, this article will mainly examine the impact of the restructuring of state-owned enterprises on the added value of exports. This paper studies the impact of state-owned enterprise restructuring on the added value of enterprise exports through theoretical mechanism analysis, current situation analysis and empirical analysis.Firstly, the status quo of China's state-owned enterprise restructuring, the state-owned enterprise export value-added status is described, and based on the matching data of the domestic industrial database and the Chinese customs import and export data from 2000 to 2007,4,540 samples of state-owned enterprises were selected as research objects. The difference method proves the effect of state-owned enterprise restructuring on the value-added of enterprises' exports through empirical research, and further differentiates the ownership type and industry competition degree to make a sample estimation, and tests the heterogeneity impact of state-owned enterprise restructuring on enterprise export value added. Finally, the paper tests the robustness from three aspects: controlling trade liberalization, double difference based on propensity matching score(PSM-DID),and considering sample selection. The empirical results show that:(1)there is a significant positive correlation between the reform of state-owned enterprises and the added value of exports;(2)the promotion effect of the reform of state-owned enterprises on the value-added of exports is heterogeneous;for different types of enterprises,it is transformed into a private enterprise or Foreign-funded enterprises have a significant positive effect onthe value-added of enterprises' exports, and the value-added to foreign-funded enterprises has greatly promoted the value-added of enterprises. In terms of the degree of competition in the industry, the value-added of enterprises in the highly competitive industries is positive after the restructuring of state-owned enterprises. The impact is relatively low and the level of competition is large.According to the above research results,we should clarify the road of state-owned enterprises to mix ownership and reform, introduce a competition system, establish a contemporary enterprise mechanism, optimize the trade structure, and achieve a good and fast growth in export value added.
