Abstract/Summary:
From the "Belt and Road" construction,to the "Beijing-Tianjin Wing Coordinated Development Strategy",to the "Yangtze River Delta" regional integration development has risen to a national strategy, how to coordinate the development of regional economy has been a realistic problem facing our country. As the leading capital, transportation infrastructure is the basis of regional economic growth and has a significant impact on achieving coordinated regional development.Previous scholars lacked consideration of spatial factors in the study of transportation infrastructure and regional economic growth. In reality, the planning and construction of transportation infrastructure must not only be based on the economic development of its own region, but its spillover effects on the surrounding area cannot be ignored. Therefore, from the perspective of space, this thesis studies the existence, degrees and direction of the spatial spillover effect of the regional transport infrastructure on regional economic growth in the "Yangtze River Delta",and proposes to improve the effectiveness of existing planning policies and promotes the policy of coordinated development of the "Yangtze River Delta" region.Based on the economic growth theory and new economic geography theory, based on the spatial dependence, network and external characteristics of transportation infrastructure, this thesis analyzes the path of the spatial spillover effect of transportation infrastructure on regional economic growth. From the perspective of macro and micro, through the interaction of various factors such as location selection of households and enterprises, division of labor and cooperation, economic agglomeration and diffusion, spillover effects in different directions and intensities are generated in the region. The empirical part of this paper mainly starts from two aspects. The first is to use exploratory spatial statistical methods to conduct global and local autocorrelation tests on the economic variables of the "Yangtze River Delta" region, confirming that there is a significant spatial correlation in the "Yangtze River Delta" region economy. And then lay the foundation for the subsequent analysis of spatial econometric models;then,in this thesis, through LM test,LR test and Hausman test, select the model with the best fit among the SAR model,SEM model and SDM model for spatial econometric regression analysis.Research indicates.(1)The Moran index is significantly positive over the years and shows a steadily rising trend, indicating that there is a significant spatial correlation between economic growth among various cities in the "Yangtze River Delta" region, and with the continuous improvement of transportation infrastructure, the space The correlation is getting closer.(2)The empirical results of the spatial econometric model show that the output elasticity of the transportation infrastructure to the economy is between 0.0201 and 0.0334.And compared with the traditional OLS model, the direct effect of the transportation infrastructure is less than its estimated coefficient, that is,without considering the spatial impact, the traditional OLS estimation overestimates the impact of the local transportation infrastructure on the economy.(3)The transportation infrastructure has a significant spillover effect on regional economic growth, and the spillover effect is significantly negative, that is,the improvement of local transportation infrastructure will cause the influx of production factors in other prefecture-level cities, which in turn will produce a negative spillover effect and increase Regional economic disparities.(4)Traditional production factors such as capital and labor still play a significant role in promoting economic growth, but new economic growth factors such as human capital, urbanization, and innovation have also become increasingly important to the economy. Finally, based on the analysis of the above results,it is proposed that the government should increase the investment in transport infrastructure in the "Yangtze River Delta" region, take full account of the spatial correlation and heterogeneity between prefecture-level cities, and strengthen transport between prefecture-level cities. The infrastructure network structure is perfect, and policy recommendations such as cultivating new economic growth points in lagging areas should be paid attention to,so as to realize the integrated economic development of the "Yangtze River Delta" region.
