The Impact Of Institutional Environment On Value-added In Service Exports

Under the initiative of trade globalization and free trade,the value chain of service trade has gradually formed and increasingly countries have carried out vertical specialization with the uninterrupted deepening of international division of labor.Meanwhile,there are wide discrepancies in dividends countries with similar opening up levels obtained from service trade,which the traditional theory of service trade can't explain.Furthermore,importance should be attached to the influence of institutional environment on service trade in the context of trade liberalization,proposed by Edwards in 2001.In this dissertation,the data have been calculated on value-added of service exports of 43 countries?regions? in 13 years from 2002 to 2014,via WIOD 2016 version.From the perspective of political system,economic system and legal system,this dissertation empirically studies the impact of the institutional environment of exporting countries and the institutional distance between trade parties on the added value of service exports.The results show that:(1)good political and legal system,powerful supervisions of economic market,trade liberalization and investment market can promote the growth of value-added of domestic service exports;(2)the gap between the following four indicators will advance the growth of value-added of service exports: financial market regulation of both sides,tax policy,government spending and corruption control,and the others will reduce the value-added of service exports;(3)the influence of institutional environment and institutional distance of exporting countries?regions? on DVA and FVA will also change with the fluctuations of the specific indicators.
