Research On The Influence Of Corporate Social Responsibility On Earnings Management

At present,with the increasingly fierce competition on economic,the win-win situation between enterprises and society has become a common choice for many enterprises to pursue long-term development,and the concept of corporate social responsibility has been increasingly mentioned.The positive fulfillment of corporate social responsibility can establish a good corporate image,protect the interests of stakeholders,and be conducive to the realization of long-term value of the enterprise.In reality,managers often carry out earnings management for their own interests,which will not only damage the interests of stakeholders,and even affect the value of the enterprise.In recent years,many scholars realize that there may be a correlation between CSR and earnings management,but the conclusion is not unified,which is also the focus of this paper.Furthermore,internal control is an key corporate governance system to supervise the management to perform their principal-agent duties to protect the interests of stakeholders.On the basis of studying the influence of CSR on earnings management,this paper also analyzes the influence of internal control on the relationship between the two.on the basis of combing the literature to the principal-agent theory,stakeholder theory,signaling theory and social contract theory as the foundation,analysis of corporate social responsibility impact on earnings management,and the corresponding gauge of corporate social responsibility and real earnings management,this paper compares and analyzes the differences after the further analysis of the internal control of corporate social responsibility and the relationship between earnings management if there is a regulation,then put forward in this paper,the research hypothesis.On this basis,this paper select the Shanghai &Shenzhen A-share listed corporations from 2014 to 2018 as the research samples,adopts HeXun evaluation index measuring corporate social responsibility,corporate social responsibility in DIBO,China's listed corporation internal control evaluation index to measure the level of internal control based on earnings management has been explainedvariable,to corporate social responsibility as the explained variable,and add the internal control as A moderator variable,build A multiple regression model to verify that the corporate social responsibility impact on earnings management,and further study on the internal control in corporate social responsibility and the regulating role in the relationship between earnings management.The results show that:(1)CSR has a significant inhibitory effect on both earnings management and real earnings management.(2)compared with accrual earnings management,CSR has a more significant inhibitory effect on real earnings management.(3)internal control can strengthen the inhibition of CSR correspondence and real earnings management,and has a more significant moderating effect on the relationship between CSR and real earnings management.This paper aims to guide companies to positively fulfill their social responsibilities,improve the internal control system,reduce earnings management behavior,and pursue sustainable development.This paper innovation points: at present,on the study of corporate social responsibility and earnings management focuses on the relationship between the two,based on the research on the impact of corporate social responsibility on earnings management basis,from the perspective of stakeholders,further analysis and research the internal control of the relationship between CSR and earnings management.The results show that internal control plays a moderating role in the relationship between CSR and earnings management.
