Obstacle And Overcoming: A Study Of Agricultural Capitalization From The Perspective Of Agricultural Duality

There are a lot of arguments about the research of contemporary Chinese agricultural transformation in academic field,they basically don't deny that agricultural capitalization is an objective trend and universal phenomenon.This paper adopts the framework of "structure — action".The core mechanism is that "structure — action" jointly promotes agricultural capitalization in various ways.In particular,agriculture with dual attributes of nature and society will hinder the capitalization,but these obstacles can be overcome by multiple combinations,and different combinations will have different effects.As a part of the action,farmers mainly play a role in the natural attributes of agriculture.Different from the existing studies,which mainly reveal that the external capital to the countryside drives the capitalization of agriculture,through observing the experience of family farm reform of Songjiang District,a suburb of shanghai city,the author can know that restricting the external capital to the countryside and encouraging the family management can still achieve the capitalization through two paths: constant capital and variable capital,while the social and cultural capital created by the social experience of the farmers are the important factors affected the path choice.As a part of the structure,institutions mainly affect the social attribute of agriculture.When the unbalanced and flexible institutions are combined with the farmers with obvious differences in social experience,the blind area of the institution will be highlighted,which provides the possibility for extending the industrial chain,tertiary industrialization or non grain production.These ways are good for quickly obtain high profit rate return,but the institution itself has the possibility of change.Strengthening the nation owns the ownership of collective land rather than privatization conducive to the capitalization of agriculture.However,the large-scale capitalization will have tensions with membership,the core agricultural social attribute,which will result in high institutional costs.The bearing capacity of costs is related to the location of the local government.Through this mechanism,to a certain extent,it responds to the failure of large-scale capital promoted by many mainland governments to go to the countryside.Market,as a kind of location factor,is relatively absent.It has a circuitous impact on the structure and actions.At the micro level,it enlarges the differences of the results of different actors taking different capitalization paths,and at the macro level,it also ensures the sustainability of the all regional scale.In a word,farmers and governments,from different directions,overcome the obstacles brought by the duality of nature and society of agriculture,and jointly promote the capitalization of agriculture.In addition to location factors,the starting time,transformation of agriculture from negative income to positive income,of the reform is also an important factor that makes the Songjiang family farm model is unique.Finally,the family isn't necessarily a heterogeneous business entity with the capital enterprises,can actively participate in the process of capitalization through self logical adjustment,and may have better competitiveness than the enterprises by using the particularity of agriculture.In a word,suburban areas have more comprehensiveinstitutional and market advantages,which help to overcome the obstacles in the process of agricultural capitalization.
