Just like levers in physics,a fulcrum can pry the entire earth.Leverages in finance also have the characteristics of "little and broad".Borrowing funds through various channels or channels has less capital in itself.Under the circumstances, the process of controlling large-scale assets to carry out related capital operations.Leverage ratio was first proposed by developed economies. In November 2010,Basel III was officially released, introducing leverage ratio, which is defined as tier 1 capital minus The ratio of the deduction of Tier 1 capital to the adjusted balance of on-and off-balance sheet assets and stipulates that the bank's leverage ratio is not less than 3%.This article refers to the Basel Agreement's three pairs of leverage ratio standards and analyzes in depth the leverage ratio of commercial banks The impact of over-leverage means that bank debt becomes too high and becomes more vulnerable, increased liquidity risk is prone to run-off,and at the same time generates a large number of financial bubbles.Too low leverage means that the bank 's economic efficiency is poor, operating costs are high,It is at a competitive disadvantage. Therefore, moderate leverage is of great significance to the sound operation of banks. As the largest urban commercial bank in China,Bank of Beijing has made corresponding strategic arrangements after the promulgation of the Basel Agreement to deal with changes in the financial environment and the effect of changes in leverage ratio indicators is obvious. Therefore, this article uses Bank of Beijing as an example to analyze Beijing from two micro perspectives Bank leverage data. From a financial perspective, the Bank of Beijing leverage ratio reflects the structural changes in bank assets with asset-liability ratio as the core. From a prudent perspective, the Bank of Beijing leverage ratio measures the extent to which regulatory capital covers bank risk.By analyzing the changes in the leverage ratio of Bank of Beijing from the above two perspectives,it is found that Bank of Beijing has problems such as high debt ratio, low liquidity coverage ratio, deviation of capital adequacy ratio from the change trend of leverage ratio index, etc.During this period,Bank of Beijing adopted optimization The corresponding measures such as business structure, establishment of a liquidity mechanism, and supplement of Tier 1 capital with fixed increments have gradually eased the problems of leverage changes and have implications for banks and regulators.
