| As the trend of global economic integration continues to strengthen,the external environment is constantly changing,and enterprises are facing more and more uncertain factors in their operations.In this context,in order to diversify the risks brought by operating a single industry,many companies choose to diversify and expand into new areas.At the same time,this is also the way to expand the scale of enterprises and create new profit growth points to achieve sustainable development.One.But in reality,there are not many companies that have implemented a diversification strategy and achieved success.Therefore,the relationship between diversified operations and corporate performance has always been the research focus of scholars at home and abroad.Their views are mainly divided into diversified discounts,premiums and neutrals.In this paper,a case study method is used to study the impact of corporate diversification on performance,and the relationship between corporate diversification and performance is analyzed by selecting specific companies.This article takes Shunxin Agriculture as a research case.Shunxin Agriculture has explored a diversified development path since its inception.It has experienced two stages of diversification and business divestiture in the course of its operation.This article first summarizes the research results of domestic and foreign scholars on the impact of corporate diversification on performance,and expounds the theory of diversification,which provides a theoretical basis for the in-depth analysis of Shunxin agricultural diversification performance.Secondly,it elaborated the diversified development process and the change of the diversified degree of Shunxin Agriculture,and analyzed the motivation of diversified development.Then,from the perspective of motivation,analyze whether it has achieved the purpose of diversified operation,and then combine the degree of diversification to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate performance from the perspective of profitability,solvency,operating capacity,growth capacity and economic value added Analysis,and empirical analysis of time series to prove the relationship between diversification and corporate performance.Finally,based on the previous analysis,the conclusion of this paper is drawn,and suggestions are made for the problems in its development.The study found that the diversified management of Shunxin Agriculture failed to effectively improve the company’s operating performance,but instead played a negative role.There are three suggestions for this article: improving the management level of enterprises,building core competitiveness,and carefully selecting diversified areas. |
