| As the frontier position of China’s economic growth and opening up,Guangdong Province has achieved tremendous development in the past 40 years of reform and opening up,and its economic aggregate has always been at the forefront of the country, but at the same time, the regional economic development is uneven and uncoordinated It also restricts the healthy development of the regional economy in Guangdong Province. As a growth pole in the Guangdong Province, the Pearl River Delta city cluster has played a certain stimulating role in easing regional economic differences and promoting regional coordinated development. However, from the reality of the entire Guangdong Province, the growth pole strategy of the Pearl River Delta city cluster Without stimulating the economic development of the entire region, even obvious siphon effects may occur. At the prefecture-level city level,it is mainly manifested between the growth pole core area of the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, the secondary area of the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration and the non-Pearl River Delta area, forming a typical spatial structure of the center-periphery area.At the district level, according to the per capita GDP level,a typical center-periphery area is also formed in the region.Investigate its causes, and the mechanism of the regional economic difference is the Spread and return effect. Therefore, the study of the spatial and temporal pattern of regional differences,as well as the measurement of the spread and backwash effect and the law of space and time, proposed a policy of promoting spread and narrowing the backwash for promoting The balanced and coordinated development of the regional economy is of great significance. This article combines the classic theory of regional economics, from the perspective of regional coordinated development, and uses the exploratory spatial analysis method to analyze the spatial and temporal evolution of regional economic development differences in Guangdong Province at the county level. The spatial econometric model explores the diffusion and return effects of economic growth of regional and urban agglomerations in Guangdong Province under the center-periphery framework. The conclusions of this paper are as follows:From the perspective of regional difference analysis,(1)the overall regional gap in Guangdong Province has gradually narrowed, and the gap between the Pearl River Delta and the eastern, western and northern regions of Guangdong is still large;(2)the gap between the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Central City and other regions is obvious, and the internal development of the Pearl River Delta has diverged;(3)The regional spatial connection is continuously enhanced, showing a remarkable center and peripheral structure, and the regional development structure is solidified. From the perspective of econometric analysis of spread backwash and market area effects,(1)As a whole, there is a significant positive space overflow between cities, counties and districts in Guangdong Province, and there is a certain spread effect.(2)Based on the perspective of spatial heterogeneity, the three areas are divided. The areas at the same level have mutually reinforcing effects, while the areas at the upper level have a significant backwash effect for the areas at the lower level. And according to the level of economic development, the central area has a significant spread effect on the secondary and peripheral areas. The lower area has a market area effect on the upper area, but the peripheral area does not have a market area effect on the central area.(3)Judging from the time-phased trend of diffusion backwash and market area, the mutual promotion effect between the central region and the secondary region is gradually strengthening, and the mutual promotion effect between the peripheral regions is weakening. The central area has a return effect on the secondary area, but the return effect is gradually weakening;the backwash effect of the central area and the secondary area on the peripheral area is still significant, but the regional division is based on the level of economic development. The central area has backwash effect on the peripheral area.Weakening, from the perspective of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Pearl River Delta non-GuangzhouShenzhen-non-Pearl River Delta regional division, the backwash effect of the center on the peripheral area is strengthening. The lower area still has a significant market area effect on the upper area, but with the passage of time, different areas are divided, and the lower area between some areas no longer has a market area effect on the upper area.In general, the regional economic development of counties and districts in Guangdong Province may still be at an early stage dominated by the backwash effect. With the continuous advancement of the Pearl River Delta regional integration and regional coordinated development strategies, the spread effect is gradually appearing.(4)Combining the results of the three regional divisions,it can be concluded that the regional economy of Guangdong Province is evolving towards the pattern of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Pearl River Delta Non-Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Non-Pearl River Delta, and the hierarchical relationship is becoming increasingly clear.Second, the current administrative division may be becoming an obstacle to the free flow of factors. In addition, the regional economic integration in the Pearl River Delta region is increasing, especially in the core region of the Pearl River Delta region. At the same time, with the continuous advancement of the regional coordination strategy in Guangdong Province, regional coordination policies are also gradually taking effect. Finally,we mainly put forward our policy recommendations from three aspects: the overall regional coordination policy level, reducing the backwash effect, and how to build a highquality and coordinated development urban pattern. The main are:(1)further strengthen regional coordination policies and coordinate the coordinated development of regional economies;(2)strengthen the radiation-driven effects of developed regions and insist on promoting urbanization;(3)improve and perfect the regional investment control system and optimize the structure of financial expenditure;(4)Improve the regional public service system;develop regional economic characteristics;(5)improve regional spatial planning and governance, and build a coordinated urban development pattern. |
