| Food is the basis of the people and agriculture is the foundation of the national economy.The stable development of agriculture and rural areas is an important support for the steady and high-quality development of society.Agriculture is a weak industry with a long growth cycle,so it is more likely to suffer disasters in the process of production and planting.As the main means of transferring agricultural risks,agricultural insurance plays an important role in promoting the healthy development of agricultural and rural economy,ensuring farmers’ income and reducing their losses caused by disasters.Located in the southern margin of Sichuan basin and along the upper reaches of the Yangtze river,the Naxi District of Luzhou city belongs to the subtropical monsoon and humid climate.It is rich in soil and water resources with heat and light,moderate climate and abundant rainfall,relatively flat terrain and a long history of rice cultivation.At present,it is an important producing area of high quality rice,but there are also meteorological disasters such as flood,drought,continuous rain and thunderstorm,geological disasters such as landslide and debris flow,biological diseases and insect pests such as rice blast and rice planthopper.In addition,the longer growth cycle of rice also increases the possibility of disaster to some extent.Rice yield is seriously affected,while the stability of rice yield directly affects farmers’ income and food security.Therefore,in order to effectively safeguard the interests of rice farmers,it is necessary to implement and popularize Rice Planting Insurance,which provides farmers with risk protection.At the same time,the willingness of these farmers to insure determines the sustainable development of Rice Planting Insurance.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to make an investigation,statistics and empirical analysis of farmers’ willingness to purchase rice planting insurance in the Naxi district of Luzhou city,in order to better understand the main factors affecting farmers’ purchase of rice planting insurance and the main problems existing in the insurance.Based on this,some Suggestions were put forward to improve farmers’ participation in rice planting insurance in the Naxi district.This paper mainly adopts literature research,questionnaire survey,statistical analysis,Logit model analysis and other research methods.Based on the data of agricultural insurance,Rice Planting Insurance and questionnaire survey design,the present situation of rice planting and the development of Rice Planting Insurance in the Naxi District were analyzed.In addition,the questionnaire on Rice Planting Insurance intention was issued to the villages and towns in the Naxi District to collect relevant information and data and conduct statistical analysis.Using binary Logit regression model empirical analysis,stream and the influence factors of rice planting area farmers insurance,mainly choose the age,culture level,farmers engaged in fixed number of year of the rice,rice planting mode of operation,rice planting area,whether affected by natural disasters,the degree of recognition of rice planting insurance,for insurance claims service satisfaction,family income,etc nine variables for validation.It is concluded that the three factors of farmers’ age,whether they have suffered from natural disasters,and the degree of approval of Rice Planting Insurance significantly affect farmers’ purchase intention of Rice Planting Insurance at 99% significant level.At the significant level of 95%,the degree of education significantly affects the purchase intention of farmers.Five factors,such as years of rice cultivation,rice planting and management mode,rice planting area,satisfaction with insurance claim service and family annual income,failed the significance test and had no significant effect on the purchase intention of farmers.Finally,on the basis of the analysis results,in order to promote the further development of rice planting insurance in the Naxi District and increase farmers’ participation in Rice Planting Insurance,countermeasures and Suggestions were put forward from the aspects of government,insurance companies and farmers themselves.At the same time,it is also expected to effectively explore the influencing factors of farmers’ purchase of Rice Planting Insurance,so as to provide references for the Rice Planting Insurance,the effectiveness of agricultural insurance system construction and even the sustainable development of policy-based agricultural insurance in other regions of the country. |
