Optimization Study Of New Product Development Process At TTT Company

In recent years,the successful rate of new product development becomes lower and lower,so there is necessity to study and to improve the product development process.This thesis analyzes the cause of new products development(NPD)failures at TTT company and how to improve the current NPD process.Firstly,the demand of market decides what kinds of products should be delivered,therefore the market investigation must be the most important when TTT initiates a new product.Secondly,application of new technologies will change the process.At last,the organization chart should keep alignment with the process.In another side,if one of the factors mentioned above needs to be changed,the manager team should change the process to adapt to the changes.The thesis explored the NPD process at TTT company,analyzes the issues of current NPD process,and encloses some basic connections.The process of product development related to the strategy of the company,can support the business model,convert customer’s voice into real products,guide the development process going on the track of project schedule,finish the development on time,make qualified product with high performance and good function,and decrease the cost of the products and the process.Based on the study of original process,the thesis finds some problems need be fixed.The first item is adding the market investigation step using the functional prototypes;the second item is adding the CAD simulation analysis step;the third item is taking the potential risks under the control.As such,the development team initiate the proper product,can satisfy the demand of the consumers,valid the design without missing,make the action of design improvement happen at proper time,control the risk of product development well.
