According to statistics,a total of 4,685 technical trade measures were issued by WTO member states in 2018,up 2.2 percent year on year and a record high.January 2019 to June,the WTO’s 2484 release technical trade measures,up 8.14% from a year earlier,and render technical threshold is high in the developed countries,developing countries institutional costs high,and the least developed countries ripples transduction aggravate the three development trends,in the current international trade protectionism continues to rise and downward pressure under the background of the domestic economy,has become one of the important factors that affect China’s trade security.Poultry products are the second largest meat varieties in China,second only to pork products.However,the export situation of poultry products in China is not optimistic,and the emerging food safety problems make Chinese poultry products unable to stand in the international market.Developed countries take advantage of their advanced technology advantages,adopt more and more strict technical standards,inspection and quarantine procedures and qualification certification system and other technical trade measures to protect the domestic poultry industry,which seriously hinder the export of poultry products in China.The price of poultry meat in China is far lower than that in foreign countries.But foreign technical trade measures will hinder our poultry enterprises occupy more international market share: the European and American countries in mainland China as the epidemic area for a long time,greatly limits the development of export-oriented economy,the technical trade measure is widely used,product quality can not meet the importer demand,product standard is not unified,no independent brands,import and export scale small and animal welfare and other factors will affect the export of Chinese poultry.Foreign technical trade measures are inevitable and will be more prominent in the future.Facing the new situation,by careful study the influence of foreign technical trade measures on Chinese exports of poultry,in-depth analysis of the export trade of poultry,a technical trade measures,current situations and reasons of the understanding of major trading countries of technical trade measures to explore the way to foreign technical trade measures and countermeasures to reduce international trade disputes,and promote the poultry exports,increase farmers’ income,has become a current research project of our country’s poultry is ofgreat significance.
