Numerous studies have shown that the destination-country image is an important factor affecting destination selection and travel intention for international tourists.Therefore,over the past years,China has issued a series of policies and organized a number of tourism theme year activities to guide and establish China’s destination-country image,which in order to attract international tourists to visit China.However,according to statistics,the development of China’s inbound tourism market has been weak in recent years and the growth of inbound tourists has been slow,indicating that the destination-country image shaped by China has not formed enough tourist attraction,and China’s destination-country Image is still vague for international tourists.Therefore,it is necessary to re-examine the destination-country image of China from the perspective of international tourists and explore what is china’s destination-country image and the formation process.In doing so,we can optimize the destination-country image of china that has been shaped,attract more international tourists and improve the inbound tourism market in China.Based on the existing literature,this paper constructs the China’s destination-country image perception system and takes international tourists under social media as the research object,uses the content analysis to analyze in detail what the china’s destination-country image is for international tourists.In the above,based on the grounded theory,this paper explores the formation process of China’s destination-country image to find out the key factors affecting the formation of China’s destination-country image.According to the research results,this paper proposes suggestions to improve china’s destination-country image.The main conclusions of this paper include:(1)China’s destination-country image is the integration of country image and destination image,international tourists ’ perception of China’s destination-country image contains not only the dimensions related to the country image,but also the dimensions related to the destination image,but pay more attention to the destination image.To a certain extent,the tourism image of Beijing,Shanghai,Xi’an and Chengdu in China represents international tourists ’ perception of China’s destination-country image.Chinese culture and people are the most important factors to attract international tourists to visit China,followed by Chinese food and the development of China’s economy,which is also the positive part of international tourists’ perception of China’s destination-country image,and China’s tourism environment is a negative part of international tourists’ perception.(2)The formation process of China’s destination-country image is divided into three stages:the native image before the tour,the enhanced image in the tour,and the overall image after the tour.The image formed by the three stages is a dynamically changing circulatory system.The native image is an intrinsic impression of international tourists on China.The enhanced image is the inheritance or change of the native image.The overall image is the international tourists’ comprehensive perception of the enhanced China’s country image and destination image.The overall image will be further transformed into a new "native image".In addition,different stages of the formation process of China’s destination-country image have different influencing factors.The major events and tourists’ experience affect the native image before the tour,which is the stimulating factor of image formation;the national identity and the attraction preference influence the enhanced image,which is the subjective factor of image formation,and the destination amenity affects the overall image after the tour,which is the internal factors of image formation.(3)The essence of China’s destination-country image formed by international tourists is a contradictory psychological attitude,but this contradictory attitude will not affect the tourist intention of international tourists.The positive perceptual effect based on the china’s destination-country image is enough to make up for the negative perceptual effect,so that international tourists still have the intention to visit China.
