Facing the fast-changing market environment,it is not able to meet the survival needs of the organization relying on the manager's ability only.Voice behavior has been increasingly recognized as a critical input affecting organizational functioning and well-being.In recent years,researchers have explored a lot about how to motivate employees to speak their own suggestions,opinions and concerns out in public.Different from the prior voice behaviors researches which took the individual character,organizational atmosphere,and leadership behaviors as antecedent variables,this study examined the effect of employees' centrality in rewards interdependence network on employee voice and its boundary conditions.Specifically,this study suggests that:(1)There is a significant positive relationship between employees' centrality in rewards interdependence network and voice behavior;(2)Agreeableness moderated the positive relationship between employees' centrality in rewards interdependence network and voice behavior.In order to verify the hypothesis above,we collected questionnaires from 184 employees and leaders of 39 teams.Among that,the employees' centrality in rewards interdependence network was calculated based on the mutual assessment among team members.Through Hierarchical Linear Regression analysis,it turned out that the employees' centrality in rewards interdependence network had a significant positive impact on the employee voice,and low agreeableness strengthened this relationship.For employees with high agreeableness,the impact of centrality on voice was no longer significant.This study explained the vital variables of employees' voice behavior from the point of the social network relationship,and also tested the moderating effect of agreeableness personality.Theoretically,this study helped enrich the theory of the social network and the voice behavior;practically,this study had great value to practical aspects such as team management.
