Research On The Quality Evaluation Of New Urbanization Of The Urban Agglomerations In The Middle Reaches Of The Yangtze River

At present,China’s new urbanization has entered the middle and late stages of rapid development.To promote the quality of urbanization has become an important task.Paying great attention to the improvement of the quality of new urbanization is a rational choice for China’s economic development to enter the "new normal".The urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River plays an important role for the rise of the central region.Under the strategic requirements of “ecological priority,green development” in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the strategic background for building the fourth growth pole of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,the new urbanization construction of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is an important node for increasing quality.The urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are faced with the dual pressures of economic development and environmental protection.The five development concepts involve economic,social,environmental,and demographic aspects of urbanization.It is an important means to promote the “green rise” of the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.Therefore,we must adhere to the five development concepts as the guide,focus on improving the quality of new urbanization,promote the green development and prosperity of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.Based on this paper,we will systematically study the quality of new urbanization in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.This paper consists of four major parts.In the first part,this paper sorts out and reviews the research results of new urbanization quality at home and abroad,and grasps the current research status and trends of new urbanization.Then the concept of new urbanization,new urbanization quality and five development concepts was defined.In the second part,it introduces the general situation of the research area of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River firstly.On the basis of adhering to the five principles of science,system,representativeness,operability and ecological protection,this paper designs the new urbanization quality evaluation index system from five aspects of the five development concepts,and explains the reasons for selecting each indicator of the quality evaluation index system.Then the advantages and disadvantages of different measurement methods are analyzed and compared.The objective,reasonable and accurate measurement characteristics based on the entropy weight method are selected as the measurement method of this paper.In the third part,through the comprehensive evaluation of the research objects,it is found that thequality of new urbanization in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River has a sustained and rapid trend,but the urban areas are quite different,and the Matthew effect is obvious.In order to further understand the development gap between cities and the reasons,in-depth research and analysis were carried out from the five dimensions.Through further analysis,it is found that the following problems exist in the new urbanization quality of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.Firstly,The regional comprehensive innovation capability is low.Secondly,the regional development is unbalanced and the industrial structure needs to be optimized.Thirdly,the rivers and lakes are seriously polluted and environmental pressure is intensified.Fourthly,the overall level of regional opening up lags behind.What’s more,Service facilities need to be improved.Problems discovered from the analysis lay the foundation for the later improvement of the path.In the fourth part,this paper puts forward suggestions for improving the quality of new urbanization in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.According to the problems found in the analysis,the optimization suggestions are proposed from the five dimensions of the five development concepts.
