The environmental problems which end-of-life vehicles(short in ELVs)caused are raised in China,and recovery activities for ELVs is the main way to solve it.Reverse supply chain is to integrate recovery activities for ELVs and related reverse logistics of ELVs.At present,week awareness of recovery for ELVs,incomplete laws and directives,and incomplete system of reverse supply chain of ELVs are three problem in China.Base on quantitative methods,the research is to model and optimize the network of reverse supply chain for ELVs.Firstly,model the network of reverse supply chain for ELVs.There are collection centers,dismantling centers,processing centers,disposal centers,remanufacturing centers,second markets,recycling centers which are considered as facilities in the network.Dismantling line is proposed in it,and the network of reverse supply chain for ELVs is described as a multi-objective mixed integer nonlinear programming model which minimize total operating cost and minimize total construction cost as the objectives.Second,code an algorithm to solve the model.A multi-objective search algorithm based on particle swarm algorithm(short in PSO)is developed.The penalty function is adopted to transfer the unconstrained optimization into constrained optimization,as well as dynamic inertia is adopted to balance the ability to global research and local optimization.Finally,practice the model and the algorithm.Hubei province is selected as the example.Set related parameters of Hubei province and the algorithm,and several non-inferior solutions are received.Obtain the optimal solution while constraining the total construction cost,and draw the network of reverse supply chain for ELVs.The main conclusions are as followed.First,economic benefits are the prime objectives and third-party companies are the principal part,in reverse supply chain of ELVs.Second,multi-objective search algorithm based on PSO is available to solve such problem,because of the Pareto optimal solutions received.Third,the capability of processing center impacts the total operating cost and total construction cost sensitively.The research is to model and optimize the network of reverse supply chain for ELVs,which provides a feasible way and method to network design of reverse supply chain for ELVs.Therefore,the research is with practical value and positive significance to improve system of reverse supply chain of ELVs.
