Research On Swap Trailer And Swap Body Transportation Applicated In Trunk Lines Of Regional Mail Center Of Guangzhou

Speed is one of the most important indicators to evaluate the express service.From posting to reaching,the processes of the express parcels' sorting and transportation is related to the speed of delivery.In order to regain the lost market shares,China Post is in the reform of express parcel business and transportation mode.In regional mail centers,they streamline the process to enhance the efficiency of sorting and transportation.In this paper,the author focuses on transportation,researches the swap trailer and swap body transport in the logistics industry,and the using of that in regional mail center of Guangzhou.It analysises the main problems of transportation speed and capacity.By building the mathematical model of operational research to solve how to choose the optimal mode of transportation and set the vehicle numbers.And then,it verifies the cost and gets the solutions.The goals are reducing the process time,enhancing the transport capacity and reducing the cost.(1)It analysises the main problems that regional mail center of Guangzhou encountered in trunk line transportation that lead to the inside and outside of Guangdong Province under new situation.(2)It researches the using of the swap trailer transportation in the lines lead to the city outside of Guangdong Province.It establishes the daily "two-way,N frequency" ideal transportation's time formula.According to the actual mileage,it can determine the N value,and decide the frequency of that;Compare the cost of using trucks with that of using swap trailer.(3)It researches the using of the swap body transportation in the lines lead to the city inside of Guangdong Province.Build the mathematics mode and find its solution.Under the fixed routes,it establishes the model of minimum vehicle used.Under the free routes,it establishes the model of the shortest mileage of empty vehicle.Compare the cost of using trucks with that of using swap trailer.Through the researching and verifying the cost,it draws the conclusions that suggest how to choose the modes of the transportation in regional mail center of Guangzhou.In the lines lead to the city outside of Guangdong Province,it should overall use the swap trailer transportation of "two-way,one turnover semi-trailerat at both sides".In the lines lead to the city inside of Guangdong province,it should firstly use the swap body transportation of "one-way,N frequency",with the swap body transportation as auxiliary.A small number of trucks can be used too.The free routes of swap body transportation is the final direction.At last,it carries on the summary to the research work in this paper.And it gives some suggestions of the further research.the author hopes that the people who work in the research field of postal enterprises can get some useful information from this paper.
