Application Research Of PDM In The R&D Of BQ Research Institute

The concept and technology of product data management has been improving for a long time.By integrating all sorts of data relations,optimizing configuration of enterprise information and information application,product data management system(PDM)has become a collaborative and integration environment for complex product design and manufacturing process.With the continuous improvement of management thought and information technology,product data management ideas and technologies are becoming the driving force of the next generation of lean R & D.As a State-owned Research Institute in military industry,BQ Institute faces unprecedented competitive pressures from such as cost,cycle,multidisciplinary collaboration and configuration management.In order to improve R& D level,BQ decided to use PDM to improve the current R & D management model.From the scientific research project management view,with the scientific and effective method,in the implementation process the project demand has been untangled,construction goal has been cleared,and the system has been verificated through the implementation.First of all,this thesis studies the evolution of the idea of PDM,as well as the current research and application situation at home and abroad;secondly,with the case analysis and the investigation of the BQ product R&D characteristic,the needs from business,system,data and IT maintenance are identified,the valid project objectives are presented.According to the needs of the project,based on the Teamcenter software,the organization management model,product data model,product configuration management,workflow management have been studied.And through investigation,data analysis and comparative analysis,the effect after system implementation is analyzed,and some experiences of successful implementation of PDM system are summarized.Finally,basing on the running system,it has been discussed that the system situation.And through the investigation and data analysis,using the method of comparative analysis,the system implementation effect has beeb analyzed and the experience in the successful implementation of PDM system has been summarized.On the one hand,the successful implementation of the project has effectively solved the problem of data management of BQ's products;on the other hand it has verified the scientific of the project management mode based on IT technology,and it has set up a set of project management methods in the process of project implementation,such as requirements,goals and contents.
