Performance Analysis Of Mergers And Acquisitions Of Chinese Pharmaceutical Companies

The “Belt and Road” strategy continues to develop,the national economy continues to grow,and the increasingly fierce market competition has led most companies to choose mergers and acquisitions to continuously enhance their core competitiveness.Influenced by national policies and the characteristics of the pharmaceutical industry,the pharmaceutical industry has been very active in mergers and acquisitions in recent years.Pharmaceutical enterprises are an important industry related to the international people's livelihood.It can be seen that research on mergers and acquisitions of pharmaceutical companies is very practical.The paper selected Wohua Pharmaceutical to acquire Jishun Pharmaceutical and Kangchen Pharmaceutical as a case study to analyze the impact of mergers and acquisitions on corporate performance.The paper first introduces the research background,research content,research methods,research status at home and abroad,then introduces the basic situation of both parties,analyzes the motivation of Wohua Pharmaceutical's mergers and acquisitions,reviews the process of mergers and acquisitions,and studies the evaluation of Wahua's M&A performance.In the research method,the event research method and the balanced scorecard method were used to conduct a short-term and long-term comprehensive analysis of Wohua Pharmaceutical's M&A performance.The paper analyzes the short-term performance and long-term performance of Wohua Pharmaceutical's acquisition of Jishun Pharmaceutical and Kangchen Pharmaceutical,and finds that the merger has created value for Wohua Pharmaceutical.Through the analysis of Wohua Pharmaceutical's merger and acquisition case,it makes recommendations on the integration and future development of Wohua Pharmaceutical,and also provides suggestions for the development of M&A of pharmaceutical companies,in order to help the development of M&A of pharmaceutical companies.
