Case Study Of PPTV Based On Timmons' Model

With the upsurge of entrepreneurship and the emergence of venture company,innovation and entrepreneurship promoting economic development.The study of entrepreneur process has became a very popular topic,which is helpful for entrepreneurs to avoid risk and reduce failure rate.Among them,Timmons' model provids reference for the entrepreneurs,based on the criteria for entrepreneurial opportunity,resources and team stability,the new entrepreneurs persist in keeping balance among the three key factors by utilizing business opportunities and allocating resources.In this article,the author firstly reviews the theory of entrepreneur process theory and enterprise life cycle theory.Secondly,this article has concluded a proper characteristics of each stage of PPTV' life cycle on the basis of the life cycle theory.Thirdly,based on Timmons' evaluation system,the author presents the characteristics of three key factors in each growth stage of PPTV.Besides,the author trys to set up a model of the entrepreneurial process for PPTV company based on Timmons' model and corporate life cycle,which is helpful to find out the reasons for success and failure of the company.Finally,the author points out that existing research are incomplete on the entrepreneurship process of internet enterprises.By this,it can be proved that Timmons' Model could be used as a general guide to the entrepreneurship.
