Study On The Supply Chain Optimization Under MTO Mode For EMS Enterprises

In the globalized market,diversity and customization is the main trend of customers’ expectation.Customers would have higher expectation to the product quality,product feature,product price,delivery time etc.,especially in the quickly updating electronics manufacturing service(EMS)industry,which ask enterprises to provide better service.To win the business,enterprises must adjust their production mode and convert the original make to stock(MTS)mode to more competitive make to order(MTO)mode.This thesis conducts elaborate studies for the EMS enterprises under MTO mode from the aspects of theoretical analysis and practical case study,decomposes the potential problems and proposes appropriate improvement solution.Firstly,the thesis defines studies of the supply chain,supply chain management,supply chain optimization,and supply chain management for EMS enterprises under MTO mode etc.Then,it takes the actual operations of the company A as a case study to comb the potential problems of internal and external supply chain management.This thesis links the internal and external supply chain management through the economic order quantity(EOQ)model and price discount strategy,also introduces the process re-design and inventory management theory to establish the solution of supply chain optimization and analyze the implementation effect.The studies prove that both the core enterprises and their partners would benefit from using the methodology of science to guide the supply chain management.Findings of this thesis can be referenced to optimize the supply chain management for EMS enterprises under MTO mode.
