Research On Gree Electric's Dividend Distribution Policy Choice

As an important financial policy in modern enterprise management,dividend policy plays an irreplaceable and important role in today's capital market,and has always been the focus of scholars at home and abroad.Gree Electric has accumulated more than 20 years of dividends since its listing,and has issued high-level cash dividends in recent years,which is representative of China's capital market.2017 is the first year that Gree Electric has not issued any form of dividends since its listing,so it has research value.This paper studies the influencing factors and economic consequences of the reform of Gree's dividend policy,which is of great significance to the formulation of dividend policies of other listed companies.This paper explores the motivations and consequences of Gree's 2017 dividend policy transition using normative research,case analysis,and event research.The research in this paper is divided into six parts.First,the introduction part.This paper briefly introduces the research background and significance of the choice of dividend policy,the research content,research methods and the innovations and deficiencies of this paper.Second,the current research on dividend policy at home and abroad and related theories.Thirdly,it briefly introduces the financial status and operation status of Gree Electric Appliances,and describes Gree Electric's historical dividend policy and industry dividend policy.Fourth,analyze the influencing factors of the dividend policy change.From the perspective of investment opportunities,corporate governance,debt pressure,and corporate diversification strategy,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of the dividend policy change.Fifth,analyze the economic consequences of the change of dividend policy from three aspects: market reaction,corporate financial status and diversified development.Sixth,summarize the research of this paper,give suggestions and enlightenment.
