| FMEA(Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)is an important method for preventing,assessing and reducing risk.The promotion and use of FMEA method will help companies improve quality,reduce costs and avoid risks.It has been widely used in the manufacturing industry and even in the service industry.Although the FMEA method theory,processes,related guidance documents are already quite mature and has been proved to have achieved good economic benefits.However domestic and foreign research shows that the traditional FMEA method is not without defects,such as different potential failure mode will produce the same RPN value,some indicators of the evaluation of the team engineers rely on the experience and so on.Domestic and foreign scholars have carried out extensive and in-depth research in view of the existing problems of traditional FMEA method.The main research methods are divided into two categories: the first one is the use of new theoretical methods to replace the FMEA method for risk assessment and sorting,the second is combining FMEA method and other methods to make up for some of the defects of FMEA method.This paper adopts the second kind of research method to optimize the FMEA method by combining the research of domestic and foreign scholars with adding the universal generation function theory to the FMEA method.It is optimized to generate new optimization methods,and the FMEA and RPN distributions are compared and analyzed by MATLAB simulation software.At the same time,the potential failure mode cost is calculated to adjust the coefficient in the optimization method so that the accuracy of the optimization method is higher and the degree of dependence on the team engineer’s experience is reduced.The Monte Carlo method is used to estimate the cost of potential failure modes that could improve the accuracy of the potential failure mode cost estimates and avoid the use of averaging errors only.At last we calculate the results before and after the optimization and compare each other.MATLAB software comparison analysis shows that the optimization method can produce more RPN values than FMEA tool and reduce the possibility of duplication of RPN values for different potential failure modes.Analysis show that the optimization method of risk ranking higher accuracy,better reliability,make up for the FMEA method defects that domestic and foreign scholars pointed out.The optimization method can be analyzed on the basis of the existing FMEA report without the need for enterprises to re-increase investment which means saving a lot of time and resources.Computational complexity has not increased which also means that the optimization method is more operable. |
