With the realization of economic globalization, the scale of free trade between countries based on the world trade organization has been expanding. However, the limitation of multilateral trade gradually appeared, and the phenomenon of national or regional economic integration quickly emerged. In order to achieve the common economic development among countries, many countries made efforts to carry out economic cooperation.China and the South Korea have also followed the trend of The Times and made exemplary contributions to economic cooperation.China-South Korea economic integration has made considerable contributions to the economic development of the ROK.However, with the increasing importance of regional development,it is more necessary to conduct empirical research on the impact of such economic cooperation on regional development from the regional level rather than the national level. Therefore,in order to determine what kind of economic effect the Korea-China economic cooperation brings to various parts of South Korea, the corresponding policies are put forward after the investigation of the indispensable factors of trade and investment. This paper can be divided into three parts:first,on the basis of international theory, after understanding the concepts of international economic integration, international trade and foreign direct investment, and taking the trade and investment data from 2001 to 2017 as the center, this paper investigates the status quo of the economic unification of China and South Korea. The results of the study prove that the two countries have been strengthening economic cooperation and have a close relationshipSecondly, the export-oriented South Korea is divided into five regions, seven big cities, the western region and the eastern region.Taking the export and foreign direct investment as the center, based on the analysis of the regional economic structure, this paper makes a static, dynamic and empirical analysis on the effects of China-South Korea economic integration on the economic development of each region. The analysis results show that the export to China and China's foreign direct investment in most regions of South Korea have a positive impact on regional economic development. In addition, excessive direct investment in China has led to the hollowing out of various regions in South Korea, which has a negative impact on regional economic growth. Finally,on the basis of the analysis results, with trade and investment as the center, this paper puts forward a series of relevant policy Suggestions for the economic development of South Korea.
